Stephen is a summa cum laude graduate from the Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he studied Animal Sciences with emphasis on Livestock production and management.

He brings with him experience in working with all breeds of livestock such as cattle, horses and sheep. His work history has led him through the states of South Dakota, Montana and more recently he comes to us from Alberta where he designed and implemented Management Intensive Grazing programs for yearling stockers and cow/calf pairs. We look forward to Steve’s arrival and his experience to help our livestock and farm continue to grow happy and healthfully!!

Long time friend Bob White has retired from farming to go back into the ice cream business. MANY MANY thanks to Bob for all his hard work, his passion, the love and care he gave the animals, for all the amazing things he did for us, he will be missed!!

Herondale Farm is a mixed livestock farm in Eastern NY.
We follow the principals of Holistic Mangement and organic farming methods.
The main operation is grass fed beef. We also raise pastured poultry, and finish grass-fed lamb.
After 7 years of building the business we have a well developed retail and wholesale market for our beef, chicken and lamb and are looking to expand to meet increased demand. We currently finish around 80 beeves a year, but we have orders for 200.
Currently grazing 200 acres with plans and leases in place to grow to 500 acres of grazing.

We are seeking a Farm manager with:
Experience in Pastured Livestock Management.
Experience in MIG and/or HDG grazing.
Knowledge of the principles of Holistic Management would be useful.
Ability to plan and build fence and water systems.

We can offer a house on the farm and a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
